Medicare Advertisement Waste Must Stop

Greens Senator Bob Brown has demanded the government immediately stop its multimillion-dollar taxpayer funded advertising campaign for 'MedicarePlus'.

"The money should be put into actual health spending," Senator Brown said.

"The full page advertisements in today's papers are a massive turn off.

"The public will react badly to a government spending its money on pre-election political advertising while refusing to increase the doctors rebate across the board.

"The government should release the figures on how much it has spent and is going to spend on this useless campaign," Senator Brown said.
