Aston By-Election Result Now Finalised

The result of the Aston by-election has now been finalised by the Australian Electoral Commission. With the deadline for postal votes now past, the Liberal Party's Chris Pearce has won the seat by 884 votes, or 0.57%.
There has been a swing against the Liberal Party of 3.67% compared to its performance in the 1998 Federal election.
