All School Sectors Represented Amongst Top VCE Politics Students

December 13, 2000

Cassandra Fry, Dux of Loreto Mandeville Hall, Toorak Politics students from the Catholic, Independent, Government and TAFE sectors are fairly evenly split amongst the top scorers in VCE Politics results published today.

Students who scored 40 or more in every VCE subject have been published online.

The maximum possible score in any subject is 50. For the first time since 1991, the score is based on internal school assessments that have been statistically moderated against examination results. Thus, the results of all students statewide can be more accurately compared than in the previous years of the CAT (Common Assessment Task) system.

The top 8% of students in all subjects receive a score of 40 or more.

  • Caroline Kearney, Sacred Heart Girls' College, Oakleigh (50)
